Finally opened up shop. LemonTree11

I have created and hand painted these unique 2-way Bunka Capitulums. There is only one of each so get them while you still can!

They can be worn as a hair accessory or brooch. They are a great addition to your look (lolita, mori, dolly kei, otome, etc)

finished another commission <3
At first I was thinking maybe purple and pink is too much, but the more I worked on it, the more fun I had trying to soften the look. I hope i did well :3
The Lupin flowers were my biggest inspiration to keep me on track with soft looks. I think it helped <3

50 questions Lolita version: 1, 10, 15, 33
Anonymous

1: How did you first get into Lolita?

I felt i’ve answered this question lots of times, but its always been a rather long answer. Now lets see if i can shorten it

  1. bought a digicharat book in 8th grade called Chocola 2000 that had maid-lolita inspired looks (didn’t know what it was at the time)
  2. Got deeper into Jpop culture beyond anime and enjoyed Jrock
  3. Wanted to wear Vkei but it was too hardcore for me
  4. Admired BJDs for their softer looks, but didn’t want to be like them, I saw them as mannequins that wore my dream clothes
  5. Somehow browsing BJDs landed me in the Baby the Star Shine Bright website… and that’s where the poison began

10: What brand and series is your most comfortable JSK/OP from?

That’s easy, Emily Temple Cute and Angelic Pretty. Their empire waisted and mumu style jsks, are super comfy. I especially love that when AP has a fully shirred back, that usually means DOUBLE POCKETS that can probably carry more than what my purse allows!

15: Do you currently have a Dream Dress?

Yep, its Night Ship Alice from Alice and the Pirates in navy. I’m also hoping to snag the Constellation print when it comes out in June :3

33: Do you have a color preference when it comes to Lolita?

Yes. Recently Navy’s have been catching my eye. II always thought I was a dual tone person, but recently I found out that’s not the case. Cooler colors like blue look better on me, so I would like to build up on that :3

17, 25, 27, 34, 43, 44, 48 ♥

17:To what extent has Lolita entered your lifestyle?

Ooooo this one is a good one because I was just talking about this with my boyfriend today! I’ve been so involved at helping out events that its somewhat consuming what little free time I have left. I don’t hate it. I enjoy it or else I wouldn’t be doing it. There is also shopping habits. When I tried to take a break from lolita, I would go clothes shopping for normal clothes. I found this cute dress with daisies and wondered if it came with matching accessories. They kind of did… There is lots more but I think I’ll leave space for the other questions :3

25: How does your family react to Lolita?

My family in general doesn’t care. I’ve always been wearing strange things since HS. I guess lolita was a step above that, but eventually they didn’t mind. Some of my extended family members have told my mom that I look like a doll. I generally take that with a grain of salt because I don’t try to look like a doll.  However, they are not being invective, so I brush it off and refer to it as a compliment instead. I’d rather hear them say I look like a doll in a positive manner than some weird-o clown. My mom recently has been telling me that i should brush lolita aside. I think she believes i’m starting to grow too old for it, or more that there is a time and place for it. I guess she wants me to wear lolita mostly for events and not for every opportunity that arises. I’m going to take it as that there is a time and place for each outfit in my closet, including lolita.

27: Look in your closet. Name the first Lolita item you see. Would you ever part with it?

Actually, before I even entered my closet, I noticed my Milk tote bag. I would never EVER part with it. It was a gift from Misako herself when we helped her out during Anime Expo. My only regret was that I didn’t have her and her sister sign it… Maybe next time…

34: How do you cope with negative views about Lolita?

Id be lying if I said I simply brush it off. Though I’ve learned to simply tolerate it. There have been instances where I rant on it on my personal FB. It use to bug me years ago when people kept on posting about how they wanted to live the  ”Momoko lifestyle,” but now I miss it. I’d rather hear about that than wanting to look like a doll. They are two different subcultures, but pop culture media keep on trying to tie the two together and the end result is rarely pretty, and positive :/

Aside from that, I generally am able to tolerate it. I have more important things to focus on like work, family and my personal life than the opinions of others that probably do not affect me in the long run.

43: Have you ever regretted buying Lolita?

Always, right after I click “confirm payment”. Then when I get my package in the mail, its no longer a regret but an investment. I regretted buying La Traviata a month ago, and now it is definitely a piece i am so happy i bought and suffered  waiting a month for.

44: What’s the silliest thing you’ve done in Lolita?

LoL where do I begin. There this one time I sort of crawled into my friend’s car where the seats were pushed forward, and I was in my max fluff mode and somehow made myself fit in that tiny space. All you could see from outside the car was the fluff from my petti. Then there were times at meets where we were climbing walls, Posing next to a donkey, Jumping for things, trying to climb a tree, confusing strangers as I adjust my wig :P

48: Have you ever had a bad experience because you wear Lolita?

Yes, never go into a hip trendy club or bar in lolita. That’s all I have to say.

Lolita Tag!

orgasmicyogurt mentioned me on his tagged, and now I want to do it too

1. Lolita substyles I wear: Use to be Sweet-Classic but now its a bit all over the place. I don’t know what to call it sometimes, but it usually involves navy, brown and black.
2. Favorite brand(s): Angelic Pretty/ Milk (though its more Otome)
3. Favorite dress I own: Day Dream Carnival, La Traviata, Misty Sky. I’m at a point where I like all the pieces in my closet.
4. Make-up things I always use when wearing lolita: BBcream, and eyeliner, and some sort of chapstick/tint/lipstick or gloss.
5. Dream dress: I have a list, but atm i’m searching for Night Ship Alice in Navy
6. Lolita best friends: Ummm there are a handful and I think they know who they are ;)
7. Am I a lifestyle lolita or an event lolita? I don’t believe in a lifestyle lolita. I go to cafes wearing normal clothes, and wear lolita when I can (usually on weekends) lol. So I guess I’m more of an event lolita…
8. JSK, OP or skirt? Jsks. Though I use to be such a skirt girl :P
9. A lolita trend I could never get into: Bonnets, my face is too pudgey for that :P
10. Is my room lolita/kawaii themed? Nope lol

Wore this outfit a few weeks ago during a private event at Fairytale Boutique.

Everything is practically handmade or off brand except for the purse which is from Muachacha

La Traviata finally came in the mail. Its so beautiful. The gold really pops against the black!
